  • Wesley Samuels - Co-Owner

    Wes was raised in Birmingham, AL where he still resides with his beautiful wife and two handsome sons.

    He has a Human Performance Sports Science Degree from Tennessee State University. He was an Intern Strength Coach at Samford University 2016-2017, has a personal training certification through NCSF also with a GoFlo certification and years of training experience with multiple companies for exposure. Wes has 9 years of training under his belt as of now in sport training, personal training, group training and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon.

    Coach Wes Goal is to teach people spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally about life. In order to be on this earth for a long time you have to be healthy. Training with him will help you will find your true self in life.

  • Rock Brown - Co-Owner

    Born and raised in Birmingham. He is a former collegiate football player at UAB and he finished his degree work at The University of South Alabama in Exercise Science. He is a certified PT and has 10 years of training experience, including gym management, collegiate strength and conditioning with multiple sports, personal training, group training.

    “Alabama is one of the fattest states in the country. My goal is to become a part of changing that statistic and inspire my community to be more healthy. I plan on doing that by creating a gym, with my partner, that positively impacts as many lives as possible.”

  • Bria Samuels - Trainer

    Bria is the COO of Grindhouse. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She is head of gym management, event planning, social media, and personal/small group training at our facility. She is certified through NCSF with over 4 years of coaching experience. As a former athlete, she felt the need to keep her passion for fitness alive through helping others achieve their personal fitness goals.

    She believes fitness is a lifestyle, not a temporary change. If you’re ready to make and see a difference, adjust your mindset and come prepared to grind. “After all, I provide the plan….YOU have to put in the work”

  • Nick Jackson - Personal Trainer

    Nick is a Birmingham native and fitness enthusiast. His love for inspiring and helping people become the best version of themselves came after he started his fitness journey in 2017 and he hasn’t looked backed since. He has 4 years of training experience with PT and Nutrition Coaching certifications through NASM .

    “My own fitness journey helped me become the trainer I am today. It helps me relate more to my clients and helps them reach heights they didn’t think was possible.”

  • Daniel Hudson - Group Trainer

    Coach Daniel Hudson was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. He is a former professional basketball player of the Harlem Ambassadors. He is a certified personal trainer and a collegiate conditioning coach with 12 years of experience. In 2012, he served as the assistant girls' basketball coach at Birmingham Southern College. Coach Daniel currently provides personal training, basketball skills training, and is the assistant girls' basketball coach at Homewood High School.

  • Cornelius Woods - Group Trainer

    Cornelious is a Birmingham native that has a genuine passion for people who want to start their way into fitness. He started his fitness journey in 2011 and he learned how to navigate and progress his way through to see results. Losing over 150 pounds by re-creating his mindset and applying the work, he hopes his story encourages people to know that it can be done. He came to Grind House over a year ago for a boot camp experience and the rest is history. He is currently pursuing his NASM certification in personal training and group training.

  • Shaq Terry - Personal Trainer

    Shaq Terry was born and raised in Bessemer, AL. Shaquil has been an athlete since the age of 3 years old. He has played football, baseball, and basketball. He is a graduate of Kennesaw State University majoring in Sports Management and minor in Coaching. He is also a former Kennesaw State Football player. While playing at Kennesaw, Shaquil won the Big South Championship twice. Shaq experienced a career ending injury that brought him into his career of Coaching and Fitness training.

  • Taylor “RoyalT” Williams

    As a certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Taylor serves as a licensed physical therapist assistant at various facilities.

    She attended the University of Alabama where she graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science. She also obtained her associates degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from Jefferson State Community College.

    She has experience in body building, CrossFit, and various sports training.

    Taylor enjoys creating new challenges for herself and her clients. She believes that “we are made to move”, and encourages everyone to reach new heights.
